Working holidays programme

Celebration, Exhilaration, Relaxation

Craflwyn offers an ideal venue for family celebrations, whether it is a special birthday, wedding anniversary or just a chance to catch up with the family or friends. The 8 bedrooms in the Hall and the additional accommodation in the basecamp mean that all the family can stay together in one place. The kitchen is fully equipped for your use or we can arrange for caterers to come in to prepare your celebratory meal.

Craflwyn’s location is ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Set in the beautiful Nantgwynant valley, there are spectacular views all around. There are fantastic footpaths from the front door taking in woodland, waterfalls, hills and mountains. Our staff are happy to recommend walking routes to suit all fitness levels! You can also see some suggested routes on our walks page. Horse riding, climbing and canoeing are all available locally.

Working Holidays

“This is the best time I’ve ever had getting fit. Good food and learning new skills in the countryside with like-minded people.”

Working holidays offer fun, quality and a sense of achievement. They give you the opportunity to make a real difference to the countryside by undertaking a range of supervised, conservation tasks. At the same time you are able to enjoy one of the most dramatic landscapes in Britain.

The activities for the week will depend on the holiday you have chosen. Some involve a variety of hands-on environmental tasks. Others have a theme or focus and so your activities will concentrate on completing a particular project. Whichever holiday you choose you will experience the satisfaction of working in a team to complete a worthwhile job, often learning new skills as you work alongside our experienced countryside team.

Craflwyn offers two types of accommodation for working holidays, the standard holidays, stay in the bunkhouse, with dormitory style accommodation. For those who like their creature comforts the premium holidays stay in the Hall, which offers mostly en-suite twin rooms.

For details of working holidays contact the National Trust working holiday booking office on 0870 4 29 24 29 or look at the website at Working-holidays.
