Craflwyn lies at the heart of the much wider National Trust property called 'West Snowdonia and Llyn'. As well as the events based at Craflwyn we have a full programme of events throughout the property.

Meet new friends; learn about the habitat and wildlife while working outdoors helping to conserve this special area.

Open to all over 12 years of age (under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

Meet on the last Saturday of the month at Craflwyn, Beddgelert.

Gold Mine Walk

Description

Join the National Trust Warden on route to Cefn Coch where he will give a brief history of the Gold mine which was active until the early 20th century.  On route you will walk through a National Nature Reserve and see one of Wales’ most spectacular waterfalls, Rhaeadr Ddu.  Rhodri Wigley on 01341 440238

   
Gold Panning

Description

Pan for Welsh Gold on the wooded slopes of the Rhiniogydd.  Join the Warden for an afternoon of gold-panning and learn about the history of gold mining in the area.  Panning equipment will be provided.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rhodri Wigley on 01341 440238
